Recently I have received several emails from teachers in which the name showing the sender was School or Elm instead of the person’s name. I had to click on Show Details to decipher who the email was from. If you use a mobile device for email, you might want to send an email to yourself to see how your name appears. If it is something other than what you want recipients to see, here is the quick fix:
- Go to Settings on your iPad or iPhone.
- Select Mail, Contacts, Calendars.
- Under Accounts, click on the email account you want to check.
- A pop-up window will appear.
- Click on Account.
- “Name” will show what others see when you send an email.
- Click Done once Name says what you want it to.
It’s best to know how your emails appear to others.
